Mansoura Veterinary Medical Journal
Aims & Scope
Aims and Scope
Mansoura Veterinary Medical Journal publishes peer-reviewed research papers and topical reviews on all aspects of veterinary medicine. Interdisciplinary articles, as well as well-argued reviews, are especially encouraged, even if they are somewhat controversial.
The journal is a suitable venue for publishing new methods (with application evidence), newly described diseases, and new pathological findings, as these pertain to animals, in addition to wildlife conservation, novel biomarkers, societal well-being, and cutting-edge clinical practice and specialization. The subject matter should be of international rather than local significance. Mansoura Veterinary Medical Journal enables its readers to stay abreast of the most recent developments in the entire field of veterinary science, as it aims for a deliberately broad scope. The mission of the journal is to bring together all relevant veterinary sciences to improve animal and human health.
Topics published by the journal include:
- Recent discoveries about pathogens and host-pathogen interactions (including viruses, bacteria, protozoa, helminths, fungi, and prions). The literature that elucidates the underlying molecular mechanisms of host-microbe interactions is greatly valued.
- Resistance to infectious microbes; mucosal and systemic immunity to pathogens. Research into the basic functioning of the immune systems of various animals falls under this rubric. New approaches to vaccine research and testing against infectious diseases will be considered.
- Manuscripts related to basic and Biological Sciences such as: biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, and environmental science are greatly valued.
- Manuscripts should be of broad interest, applicable to a wide audience, and not focused on one specific area of policy. Studies that are merely descriptive in nature, meta-analyses, or provide data of limited geographic relevance will not be considered.
Articles should not be limited to a discussion of the author's work but should instead present thorough, critical summaries of current knowledge in the field. Research that is merely descriptive or correlational is not prioritized.
The journal's readership consists of researchers and academics in a variety of settings, including government agencies, NGOs, private companies, and the pharmaceutical sector.
